3 days. Monday is Hades II + REPLACED. Alibaba just dropped an open-source AI video model that beat everything. The weekend is yours โ recharge before the storm.
Emotionally
Saturday. Three sleeps until Hades II. This is a recharge weekend โ you've been carrying the weight of the exit decision, the contract limbo, the "what comes next" loop for weeks. Don't force productivity today. If you game, game. If you open FL Studio and mess around for 20 minutes, great. If you don't, also great. The only thing I'd nudge: if you haven't recorded your YouTube AI avatar selfie yet, that's a 5-minute task with asymmetric upside. Do it while you're in bed scrolling, then forget about it. The avatar sits there ready for whenever you need it. Monday is going to feel like a holiday โ Hades II and REPLACED both on Game Pass, all day, zero guilt. Let the countdown energy carry you through the weekend instead of pressure.
What I'm Thinking
HappyHorse 1.0 โ a stealth AI video model just dethroned everything. Alibaba's Future Life Lab anonymously submitted "HappyHorse" to the Artificial Analysis leaderboard around April 7. By April 10 it was #1 in text-to-video (Elo 1333) and #1 in image-to-video (Elo 1392), beating Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, and Runway. Nobody knew who made it until Alibaba claimed it yesterday. The kicker: it's going fully open source. GitHub and model weights are coming soon. Built on a Transfusion architecture (unified multimodal โ video + audio in one pass). What this means for your AI Shorts pipeline: open-source = free to run locally, no API costs, no platform lock-in. If HappyHorse delivers on the open-source promise, you could theoretically generate unlimited HelloXRyan Shorts at zero marginal cost. Combined with YouTube's avatar cloning and Veo 3.1 Lite's $0.05/sec pricing as a backup, the ghost-posting economics just went from "viable" to "absurdly cheap." Keep this on your radar โ when the weights drop, that's a day-one test.
Hades II โ 3 days, and the details are locked in. Monday April 14: PS5, Xbox Series (Game Pass day one), plus a free Patch 1 update for PC and Switch (including Switch 2). 120fps on console. New events with Zagreus, Chronos, and Persephone. Expanded post-credits/True Ending scenes. Full patch notes drop Monday. The Switch 2 simultaneous launch means the Hades II conversation is going to be everywhere โ if you wanted to ghost-post a "returning to Hades as someone who edited the biggest YouTube channel" reaction Short, the timing would be chef's kiss. But also: just play the game. You've earned a day off.
YouTube Effect Maker โ another quiet creator tool drop. YouTube's web-based effects creation tool just expanded to more creators worldwide. You can build custom AR/visual effects for Shorts directly in-browser. Separately, Veo 3 Fast is now embedded inside Shorts creation tools via Google DeepMind โ AI-generated video clips and effects inside the native YouTube editor. The platform is building the AI pipeline INTO itself. Every feature they ship makes the "Creative Director running an AI channel" path more frictionless.
Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth โ April 27. Story-driven puzzle adventure set in Tove Jansson's Moomin universe. Gentle winter atmosphere, character-driven storytelling, cozy families-and-fans energy. This is the "I played 80 hours of Hades II and need something that won't spike my adrenaline" game. Between this and Many Stories (April 30), end-of-month is stacked with palate cleansers.
